Debra
Haverstick, owner of de’Marie Jewelry & Design, has been
attracted to jewelry and gems since childhood, and she has
realized this passion by creating her own company doing
what she loves.
Born in Sacramento, California, Debbie grew up in the
beautiful wine country. She graduated from Sonoma State
University with a BA in Business Administration and a
concentration in accounting. She worked in that field for
ten years before realizing she really wanted to make her
career her passion: gems and jewelry. So in 2001 she
enrolled in the GIA Graduate Gemologist program and moved
down to Carlsbad for her training, leaving her husband at
home to hold down the fort.
After graduation, Debbie started
de’Marie Jewelry & Design and has never looked back.
During that journey, she also had two beautiful
children, Anya and Max.
